  • The Canadian Boat Survey has been featured in an article in The Westerly.  Click here to read the story about our dive survey in Tofino and Ucluelet.
  • We're pleased to announce the winner of our latest prize draw at the Nanaimo Boat Show. Congratulations to Walter, who will make good use of the $100 gift certificate as he's in the midst of his annual boat maintenance.  Enjoy it!  We'll draw the next prize at the end of the field season, late September.
  • The United Nations has declared May 22 as the International Day for Biological Diversity and the theme this year is invasive alien species.  Read the article from the David Suzuki Foundation. 
  • The Canadian Boat Survey is heading back to the friendly north!  World Wildlife Fund is hosting an Aquatic Invasive Species information night in Prince Rupert.  See you at the Fishermen's Hall the night of March 4, 2009 at 6pm.
  • Boaters at the 2009 Victoria Boat and Outdoor Show were entertained by our "Spot the Invader" game.  Thank you to the show's organizers for an interesting event. 
  • Congratulations to Wayne from North Vancouver.  He was the winner of our Vancouver Boat Show prize draw and will enjoy $100 at West Marine. 
  • The Canadian Boat Survey team had a great time at the Vancouver International Boat Show last week.  Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat and quiz us on our invasive crab species! And thank you to the organizers for a great event. 
  • The Canadian Boat Survey was at the Vancouver Power and Sail Squadron meeting in False Creek October 20.  Thank you to Bill Stewart, Henry Lazar and all the members for their great hospitality and warm reception. 
  • Congratulations to Barry from Victoria!  He is the winner of our first draw for a West Marine gift certificate.  We will do our next prize draw April 1.  Thank you to all of our entrants.

  • We presented the results of our field work at the Ladysmith Yacht Club monthly meeting on Sept 9.  Thank you to Jane Fowler and all the members of the club for their kind hospitality and great reception.
