Hull Photography Project
Our dive team conducted photographic surveys of boat hulls at marinas throughout British Columbia in the summer of 2008. Our photos showed a huge range and diversity of hull fouling in British Columbia. We visited 14 marinas from Victoria to Prince Rupert and discovered at least one nonnative species at each. Eight different plants and animals were found growing directly on the boat hulls.
Check out our photo gallery page to see photographs of the hull fouling we've encountered.
Thank you to all the boaters and marinas that participated!
You can request digital copies of your hull photographs free of charge from the team by sending us an email photos@canadianboatsurvey.com.
